Meet the VAPN Team
Co-President
Celia Tran
Celia is an experienced Communications, Community Engagement and Development Professional, and current Manager at the Scanlon Foundation Research Institute. She was previously Manager at the Victorian Multicultural Commission and Board Director for Western Chances charity organisation supporting young people in Melbourne's West reach their fullest education potential.
A recognised leader across government and the community sector, Celia’s awards include the prestigious 2016 Premier’s Volunteer of the Year, Dame Elisabeth Murdoch Award and Australian Human Rights Commission - Leadership award. In 2021 Celia was named IPAA Victoria's Top 50 Public Sector Women and 40 Under 40 Most Influential Asian Australians Award (Government Sector winner).
Passionate about creating social change, she has volunteered for many years supporting the needs of the Vietnamese community in Victoria, and saw the strong need for a network like VAPN.
Co-President
Tony Truong
Tony loves to question and passionately listen to others, which has naturally propelled him into a career in consumer insights and market research. Recently recognised as a global 30-Under-30 Insights Leader, Tony's achievements have been celebrated worldwide.

Currently, Tony is an Insights and CRM Manager. Additionally, he dedicates time to pro-bono consulting in the mental health sector.
Co-Vice President
Andy Tran
Andy is an experienced Manager and Customer Specialist with a history of working in and owning businesses in the information technology, government, construction, classifieds, lotteries and services industry.
Andy also volunteers his time as the secretary of the Springvale Indo-Chinese Mutual Assistance Association. Andy looks forward to learning more and sharing his diverse experiences with others.
Treasurer
Tracey Tran
Tracey has worked in the Accounting field for over 10 years and had been a volunteer treasurer for the Vietnamese Community in Australia - VIC Chapter, not for profit organisation, from 2019-2022.

From the volunteer experience, Tracey has developed a keen interest to continue involvement in building a growing community network of passionate Vietnamese individuals.
Secretary
Quoc Viet Tran
Viet has a strong passion for cancer care and community health. Viet currently works for GenesisCare Australia as a radiation therapist and has worked in both Queensland and Victoria throughout his career thus far.
Descended from Vietnamese-Teochew Chinese migrants, he became eager to learn more about his identity, and in 2019, enrolled in the Dual Identity Leadership Program. Upon graduating, he used the knowledge and skills he attained from that program to help give back to the same Vietnamese and Teochew communities that helped raise him. Today, he is active within the Vietnamese community within Melbourne and the Gaginang Teochew organisation. Viet was also the former secretary of the fundraising committee for the Vietnamese Museum of Australia.
Through VAPN, Viet is excited to finally have a network created specifically to support Australian-born Vietnamese professionals and aid them in working more cohesively with one another.
Events Lead
Ngoc Le
Born and bred in Melbourne, Ngoc is a healthcare professional by day and is in food and events by night. With over 20 years of experience in events, Ngoc still loves bringing an idea to life.

Ngoc is the founder of Australia's first Donut and Beer Festival 2017-2019. The first event reached 1.8 million people across Facebook organically with media coverage including Channel 9 News 6pm, The Herald Sun, Broadsheet, Tourism Australia, Nova, Fox FM, Urbanlist and Concrete Playground.
Ngoc is also leading the Australian Asian Hustle Network founded in The United States, a rapidly growing 100k+ community of Asian entrepreneurs, professionals, creatives and leaders around the world.
Comms/Marketing Lead
Jessica Trinh
Jess has extensive experience in community engagement, marketing and communication roles.
She is currently a Senior Project Officer at the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions, and previously worked at the Victorian Multicultural Commission and Victoria Police.
She is passionate about diversity and inclusion, and projects that positively impact the community.

Tammy Nguyen
Tammy Nguyen is a Melbourne based business owner with a background in Community Services.
She has more than 15 years experience working in the not-for-profit sector, specialising in Forensic Youth AOD.
She is passionate about social justice, community engagement and social connectedness, and is particularly proud of her role as the CEO of Vietnamese Museum Australia.
Partnership/Sponsorship Lead
Minh Le
Minh has been working at management consulting firms in Australia and Southeast Asia for more than 15 years and she currently specialises in migration law at MLE Consulting firm in Melbourne.

She is dedicated to making a lasting impact on the Vietnamese professional community in Australia and actively participating in social activities focusing on young people and migrants.
​
Outside of work, Minh enjoys running and outdoor activities. She is also a regular speaker at international seminars and forums about Australian migration, investment and education.

Peter Tran
Peter is a specialist orthodontist, dad and coffee enthusiast, who is passionate about access to healthcare and supporting the Vietnamese community.
Having started Springvale Orthodontics in 2020, Peter recognises the need for a strong support network of like-minded Vietnamese Australian Professionals and is delighted to see VAPN come into fruition.

Kenny Tran
Kenny is a lawyer by practice, specialising in family law, family violence and estates law.
Kenny has extensively volunteered in the community and multicultural space as a volunteering for the Whittlesea Multicultural Communities Council (WMCC) and serving as the current vice president, volunteering for the Dual Identity Leadership Program (DILP) and participating in the Ethnics Communities Council of Victoria (ECCV) Intercultural Young Advocacy Leaders (IYAL) program in 2018.
In 2023, Kenny was elected to the Board of the (ECCV), advocating for the rights and dignity of migrant and refugee communities. He continues to serve as a Board member.
Kenny is a lover of food and culture, enjoying the exploration of diverse culinary experiences.
Kenny is fluent in English and Vietnamese, enhancing his ability to connect across cultural and linguistic divides. He also enjoys learning new languages.

Khue Nguyen
Khue is a passionate occupational therapist with an interest in supporting people with disability to increase their independence and quality of life.
Khue seeks to share her Vietnamese identity through community work and celebrating cultural festivities. She looks forward to contributing to the growth of VAPN and the general Vietnamese community.

Amy Nguyen
Amy Nguyen joined VAPN as a volunteer in the Marketing and Communication team.
Amy has been working for the Australian government with experience in both Victoria and New South Wales. She has a passion in creating a difference within the Australian public sector community, including the Vietnamese-Australian community VAPN.

Lien has an insatiable curiosity about people and operations, fueling her understanding of the blueprint that shapes our world. As a social impact consultant, she enjoys combining her visionary nature and open-mindedness to identify opportunities and turn ideas into reality.

She thrives in environments where she can disrupt outdated systems and implement effective, creative solutions with a sustained and significant impact on the community. She loves facilitating social cohesion and empowering the next generation of global citizens, creating conversations in a collaborative and participant-led environment.

On weekends, you can find her learning family recipes, playing board games with friends, or snuggled in a corner of the couch with a good book.

Anh Duy is an experienced business analyst and product owner, with a history of working in consulting, government, pharmaceutical, and stock transfer projects. He is passionate about product management and looks forward to learning from others in this area.
